MAINTENANCE & CARE - TERRAZZO FLOORS

Normal indoor maintenance would include daily dust mopping if conditions warrant. Periodic damp mopping with a good biodegradable cleaner such a Tesco "Clean'Brite". Floor can also be lightly buffed if it is part of normal floor care.

 Dust mopping prevents sharp particles from scratching surface.

Outside maintenance in heavy traffic areas would consist of using Tesco "Clean'Brite" cleaner for removing grease, grime, wax and oils from surfaces. Normal cleaning would be done with a scrub brush or scrubbing machine. Also, some stains or paints can be removed by using mineral spirits and scrub brush. If none of the above remove stains, the surface has to be stripped using Tesco "Stripper" following directions for use. Then surface would then need to be re-sealed using Tesco "Crystal Seal" or Tesco "Crystal Cote".

 Under normal conditions floors should be re-sealed every one to five years, depending on traffic, use and weather conditions. Walls should be re-sealed every five to ten years.
